About the art of Perry Roberts
Perry Roberts lives and works in Antwerp. He attended Goldsmiths College (M.A.) in London in the eighthies
and was artist in Residence at Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam). His work comprises paintings, both on canvas and paper. He also makes textpieces both on objects, such as benches or tables,
as well as textpieces that are put on walls or other objects.
He had many exhibitions both in UK and abroad, and most recently he participated with a new series of paperworks in the Group Exhibition at KORAALBERG Gallery in Antwerp, 'Setting the Pattern'.
In 2006 he made major solo exhibition In IKON Gallery (Birmingham) with video works. In the same year
he also showe new paintings and wall drawings in the exhibition 'Sieben auf einen Streich' at MARTA Herford, curated by Jan Hoet.
Perry Roberts is also known for art integration projects, as well for interiors of buildings and apartments,
or as for projects in public spaces. These works includes major sculptures, fountains or colourfields.
The artist is represented by KORAALBERG Gallery in Antwerp and CONRADS Gallery in Düsseldorf.
